Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
5-10 years of civil/structural experience with high voltage substation design (distribution, sub-transmission, and transmission level voltage classes)
Experience with Bentley ProjectWise, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam Revu PDF Editor
Strong knowledge of utility standards, AISC, ASCE, ACI, IBC, and understanding of construction techniques
Self-motivated, works well with others, excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills
Willingness to travel (some travel required, including site visits)
Professional Engineering License (preferred)
Experience with STAAD, MathCAD, LPILE, RISA or equivalent engineering software (preferred)

Responsibilities

Structural design of electrical substation structures and foundations
Prepare and review calculations following industry standard methods and principles
Provide technical guidance and direction to junior engineers
Assist in developing, maintaining, and updating engineering standards
Perform detailed quality reviews of project deliverables
Attend and/or conduct client and project meetings
Attend site visits as required
Promote sales
Review scope, budget, and schedule for project tasks
Assist with proposals, marketing, project reports, and technical presentations
Maintain excellent client relations
Maintain a safe working environment
