Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, and five to ten years of related experience. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, along with excellent technical writing, organization, and communication skills. Self-motivation and the ability to work effectively with others are also required.
The Civil Engineer will provide technical planning, design, permitting, and construction support on various water utility projects, including collection systems, pump stations, wastewater treatment, and reclaimed water. Responsibilities include preparing engineering calculations, design reports, construction plans, and permit submittals using AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D, and Revit. The role also involves assisting with cost estimates, monitoring project progress, documenting design changes, conducting on-site inspections, preparing project status reports, assisting in proposal preparation, and supporting Project Managers. Furthermore, the engineer will participate in client meetings, manage project tasks, maintain client relations, ensure a safe working environment, and contribute to the company's supportive culture by mentoring and building staff skills.
