Job Description: Civil Designer - Sports Fields

Position Overview

ConnectOS is seeking a talented Civil Designer with a passion for sports fields to join our client's team. This remote position offers the opportunity to work on the planning, design, and construction inspection of sports fields, contributing to enhanced community well-being and environmental sustainability.

Salary & Schedule

• Salary Package: P60,000 - P80,000
• Schedule: Monday - Friday (6:30 AM - 3:30 PM PHT)
• Employment Type: Full-time

Requirements

• Skills Required:
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering/Architecture is preferred.
  • 2–3 years of experience in civil design, drafting, or a related field.
  • Experience in detailed design within engineering, drafting, or infrastructure projects.
  • Solid understanding of technical specifications, civil infrastructure, and stormwater/pavement design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3D modeling software, project management software, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with design documentation, construction phases, and tender processes.
• Nice to Have:
  • Knowledge in drafting sports fields or Fields of Play facilities.
  • License in Engineering or Architecture.
  • Knowledgeable in Australian Construction Standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and conceptual Field of Play (FOP) designs using AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with civil engineers and project teams to develop complete design documentation.
• Attend meetings and coordinate design requirements.
• Ensure compliance with sport governing bodies, client briefs, and environmental standards.
• Contribute to pre-tender cost estimates and value engineering.
• Support feasibility studies and master planning with technical input.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing tender and construction documentation.
• Maintain clear, client-friendly communication and progress updates.
• Help translate complex designs into simple, visual concepts.
• Promote safety awareness, identify hazards, and support resolution of design-related issues.
