Requirements

Ability to lead collaboration among an interdisciplinary team
Proficiency in empirically supported therapeutic techniques (e.g., CBT, DBT, family therapy)
Experience or capability to work in acute care settings (inpatient, residential, PHP/IOP)
Knowledge of ethical codes of conduct and confidentiality
Understanding of Joint Commission, State, and regulatory agency compliance
Ability to conduct self professionally, communicate assertively and accurately, and receive feedback productively
Willingness to support staffing/scheduling changes and participate in clinical initiatives

Responsibilities

Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions
Assess patients' needs through comprehensive assessments
Develop individualized treatment plans and facilitate treatment team meetings
Provide counseling and support using evidence-based techniques
Educate patients on mental health/substance use conditions, self-care, and treatment options
Document patient progress, sessions, goals, and interventions within required timelines
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (internally and externally) to coordinate care
Report and document suspected cases of physical, sexual abuse, and/or neglect per law and policy
Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education
Support patient safety, facility safety, and system-wide continuous improvement initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned, including maintaining knowledge of department processes
