Full-time college student at the Junior or Senior level
Currently enrolled at an accredited university seeking a BS in Chemistry
Eligible to legally work in the US without sponsorship
Knowledge of the basic principles and methods used in chemical plant manufacturing and analyses
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong planning and organizational skills
Able to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions
Able to build relationships across all organizational lines
Able to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
Ability to handle glassware and operate equipment in a laboratory setting (advantage)

Responsibilities

Conduct synthesis, testing, and analysis experiments in a chemical lab setting
Record observations, draft technical reports, and present to internal and external audiences
Learn various instrumentation, equipment, software, and procedures needed for properly carrying out experimental tasks
Research opportunities for improving current experimental methods as well as developing new methods
Ensure compliance with all corporate procedures and guidelines
Complete annual required training on time
Be present in the workplace on a regular basis and work extra hours if needed (including overtime to meet production objectives)
Work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives
Assist other employees in accomplishments of Huntsman company goals and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Participate in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company and complete company-required training programs
