Requirements

Candidates must possess an Associate degree in a STEM field or at least 2 years of applicable experience. They must also be able to obtain required IDT certifications, including HAZWOPER 24hr-Technician Certification, RCRA awareness certification, and Powered Industrial Truck Operator certification. The ability to be medically cleared and adhere to IDT's Respiratory Program is a condition of employment. Experience in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field, along with proficiency in basic chemistry and mathematics for adjustments, is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Chemical Technician II is responsible for producing high-quality reagents and handling regulated waste. This involves utilizing the ERP system to monitor inventory, schedule work orders, and manage materials. The role requires changing and dispensing materials for production, following manufacturing processes, and participating in the Hazardous Material Spill Response Team. Additionally, the technician will gather, interpret, and analyze data, troubleshooting quality and delivery issues as they arise.
