Requirements

1 shipped title as Lead, 3D Character Artist or equivalent
More than 8 years of experience as a 3D character artist or equivalent in a AAA game engine
Expert knowledge of industry-standard tools and workflows, such as JIRA, 3ds Max/Maya, Substance, and Zbrush
Comprehensive portfolio showcasing skills and passion for stylized character art (Hard Surface, Humanoid, and Wildlife)
Open-mindedness to try new things and explore different styles
Strong understanding of PBR rendering and its interaction with real-time lighting
Experience with the full game development cycle (from pre-production to delivery)
Entrepreneurial spirit to drive things forward in a new studio and willingness to do better
Experience with Unreal Engine in game development

Responsibilities

Work in collaboration with directors to maintain the artistic direction of characters throughout the project
Establish workflows, manage workload, and bring structure to a team of artists in collaboration with project leadership
Collaborate with all other disciplines involved in our interdisciplinary approach to ensure the highest visual quality, optimization, and best pipeline throughout production
Work with the Content Tech team to propose technical solutions to improve quality
Be a role model with a willingness to help others succeed with a positive attitude
Inspire, mentor, and manage the 3D Character Art team
Document and share knowledge frequently and freely with other team members
Understand rigging and animation requirements
Actively participate in the recruitment process
Supervise all outsourced work and ensure delivery according to specifications
