Requirements

Candidates must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid and current nursing license in the state of practice. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred, and a minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a clinical setting, is required. Strong clinical assessment skills and knowledge of medical terminology are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

The Charge Registered Nurse will coordinate the facility operations and patient procedures to ensure provision of quality patient care, assisting with staffing, staff training, and equipment management. They will also be responsible for supporting and driving quality standards through meeting regulatory requirements and implementing CQI, assisting with implementing quality goals, and ensuring compliance with risk management initiatives. Furthermore, the Charge RN will coordinate all aspects of patient care, including assessment, education, and documentation, and will act as a resource for staff and patients, as well as assuming primary responsibility in emergency situations and administering medications.
