Requirements

Candidates must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license in the state of practice. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred, and a minimum of three years of experience as a Charge Nurse in a dialysis setting are required. Strong clinical assessment skills and knowledge of peritoneal and home hemodialysis are essential, along with experience in patient education and case management.

Responsibilities

The Charge Registered Nurse will oversee the daily operations of the dialysis clinic, coordinating patient care, staffing, and facility procedures to ensure quality patient care. They will conduct initial home visits with other staff, provide training and education to dialysis patients on peritoneal and home hemodialysis, and function as an onsite Patient Educator and Case Manager. Additionally, the role involves supporting and driving quality standards through CQI, assisting with implementing quality goals, and maintaining patient records and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
