Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification from the Licensing Board in the state of employment
Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
Ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds
Ability to work night shift (10 p.m.-6:30 a.m.), 64 hours per 2 weeks, every other weekend, and holiday rotation

Responsibilities

Provide assistance to residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, shaving, oral hygiene, bed making, transfers, repositioning, toileting, serving/collecting food trays, feeding, answering call lights, maintaining a clean environment, transporting patients, assisting with ambulation, and orienting/reorienting residents
Perform routine and non-routine duties as directed by nursing staff
Measure and record blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration, and weight; document concise and factual information
Assist residents with specific medical care activities per policy and procedure, including restorative exercises, collecting specimens, assessing/documenting completed cares, and providing immediate feedback to nursing staff on changes in condition, pain, or concerns
Restock supplies, maintain work environment, and perform cleaning procedures
Participate in providing emotional, educational, and spiritual support for families
Comply with resident rights, including confidentiality and privacy; report allegations of abuse or misappropriation of property
Follow policies and procedures for fire, tornado, evacuation, disaster plans, universal precautions, infection control, and hazardous/chemical communication; maintain a clean and safe environment
