Must be 21+ years of age
Valid Driver’s License with a “clean” driving record (no single DUI in the last three years and no multiple DUIs within the last seven years)
Must obtain a valid CDL Permit and DOT medical certification prior to pre-employment background check
Must submit to and pass pre-employment testing (Drug Screen, Background Check)
Must obtain Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) within ninety (90) days of start date to remain actively employed
Must have one year Distribution/Warehouse experience or other military experience in lieu of
Strong communication skills
Good mathematical and arithmetic skills
Frequently lift, push, or move product that weighs up to 100 pounds
Frequently reaching up to 72” to stack and unstack pallets
Schedule flexibility (e.g., overtime hours)

Responsibilities

Unload product from trailer, by hand or using a hand cart, and place in designated customer storage areas
Transporting product down ramps, stairs, or docks, in all weather conditions
Constantly bending and twisting while loading and unloading product and retrieving items from the trailer
Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures
Contact management for authorization when there are discrepancies on invoice and communicate all errors/returns
Perform pre-trip and post-trip responsibilities following the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and Sysco policies
Pickup, load and unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork
Complete DOT logs (electronic or manual as required), company vehicle maintenance reports, and reconcile with appropriate company representative as required
Deliver product within assigned route schedule and time windows. Immediately inform the management team of any deviations
