Requirements

  • D.E.U.G. (or local equivalent diploma) or baccalauréat (or local equivalent) or equivalent experience/knowledge
  • Significant technical experience in mechanical assembly and electrical testing
  • Ability to detect, analyze, and troubleshoot failures at sub-assembly and system levels
  • Knowledge and compliance with GEHC training requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of production processes, work instructions, control practices, and documentation for non-conformities and rework
  • Knowledge and understanding of commercialization holds, concessions, electrostatic discharges, calibration, preventive maintenance, and material identification/separation
  • Knowledge and understanding of Good Documentation Practices associated with the role
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Optional: Ability to draw accurate conclusions from test data, malfunctions, or deviations and propose corrections to designs or processes
  • Optional: Ability to understand and interpret basic written technical information
  • Optional: Proven ability to work effectively with limited instructions and information
  • Demonstrated critical thinking

Responsibilities

  • Install and use data acquisition equipment for testing, conduct experiments, and report/document test and measurement results
  • Test production assemblies and sub-assemblies to ensure proper functioning and compliance with performance specifications
  • Coordinate with other departments during task execution to ensure orderly flow of materials and information
  • Develop technical models and assist in their evaluation
  • Identify basic problems by integrating multiple variables and unknowns for precise root cause analysis and resolution; conduct diagnostic experiments and tests if necessary
  • Evaluate software and hardware and implement plans using product knowledge, system operations, module interactions, engineering tools, and interactive software tools as needed
  • Use basic technical communications throughout the new product cycle to improve internal models and/or outsourced components in terms of performance, reliability, functionality, and maintainability
  • Evaluate, provide constructive feedback, and guide the development of internal and external technical, manufacturing, or maintenance documents
  • Personally contribute to achieving team objectives
  • Comply with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations and policies
  • Provide general instructions on executing activities associated with the role
  • Know and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws/regulations
  • Complete all scheduled Quality and Compliance training on time
  • Identify and report any quality or compliance issues and take immediate appropriate corrective actions
