Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the site’s IT strategy in line with business objectives
  • Identify and prioritize technology initiatives to support site growth and compliance
  • Participate in cross-functional leadership teams and benchmark innovative solutions
  • Act as Senior Director backup when needed
  • Build and lead a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning
  • Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to team members, promoting their growth and retention
  • Mentor others in the organization
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration between IT and other departments to align IT solutions with business needs
  • Establish a strong site culture based in Lilly values, expectations, and operational excellence standards
  • Support diversity, equity and inclusion in recruiting and development of team members
  • Lead recognition, pay and promotion decisions for your group
  • Lead talent assessment and succession planning activities for your group
  • Support site recruiting building IT capabilities
  • Ensure the reliable and secure operation of IT systems, including networks, servers, and storage, to minimize downtime and maximize productivity
  • Implement robust cybersecurity measures, such as firewalls, encryption, and access controls, to protect sensitive data and intellectual property
  • Serve as the IT Fegersheim Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Leader
  • Participate in the preparation of the whole departmental budget and capital planning
  • Lead the preparation of budget and/or capital projects and be responsible for managing it
  • Plan and coordinate with the Corporate IT, local IT and business groups the introduction of new technologies, methodologies, systems development and end-user productivity tools
  • Partner cross functionally locally and globally to establish and implement site IT roadmap
  • Lead and manage IT projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery within allocated budgets and resources
  • Define project requirements, develop project plans, and coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives
  • Ensure systems and equipment compliance with industry-specific regulations, such as FDA guidelines and GMP requirements, Lilly corporate policy and procedures, and local procedures to maintain product quality and safety
  • Ensure compliance with Cybersecurity aspects, assure systems and equipment are well protected following planned or unplanned patching cycles, and maintain linkage with related Cybersecurity global efforts
  • Enforce security protocols to protect confidential information and ensure privacy compliance
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate IT audits and inspections, addressing any findings promptly
