The Medical Representative ensures the promotional information of Lilly medicines to healthcare professionals, respecting good usage, ethics, and the marketing authorization of the product(s). As an expert in the care pathway, their therapeutic area, and their product(s), they strive for customer satisfaction by proposing options for better patient management through interactions focused on listening and trust. They manage their sector and collaborate effectively internally and externally to create a high-value partnership with their various clients and achieve set objectives. All their skills and activities are implemented within the framework of pharmaceutical regulations.

Interactions with Healthcare Professionals

  • Knows and implements the strategy of the promoted products so that any patient needing our innovations can benefit from them and so that healthcare professionals can prescribe our products wisely, respecting good usage.
  • Regularly updates their knowledge: product(s), environment, regulations, medical visit tools, territorial network of clients, and different Lilly contacts; and uses them relevantly.
  • Visit Business Intelligence (VBI):
    • Prepares their visit by focusing on the healthcare professional's needs, then analyzes the impact of their visit to establish their action plan for the next one.
    • Informs, listens to, and responds to the healthcare professional's needs.
    • Collects, analyzes, and transmits requests and information to the relevant departments (Pharmacovigilance, etc.).
    • Identifies and uses the preferred resources and communication channels of healthcare professionals to deploy a coherent multichannel strategy to quickly meet their needs.
    • Engages the healthcare professional in quality dialogue and adds value by placing the patient at the center of the exchange.
    • Respects the laboratory's portfolio strategy.
    • Supports healthcare professionals and builds high-value professional relationships.
    • Organizes and leads professional communication actions (professional meetings, congresses, etc.).
    • Embodies Team Lilly and collaborates transversally with Lilly teams to create a positive customer experience.
    • Collaborates with teams to have positive customer experiences and achieve results.
    • Works in collaboration with their Regional Director, combining autonomy and responsibility.

Sector Action Plan

  • Works cross-functionally for the implementation, updating, and adaptation of the action plan: analyzes the territory and accounts, uses relevant data and resources, identifies growth potential opportunities, benefits, and efforts required, influence and account access (national and regional).
  • Manages their sector budget optimally and efficiently.
  • Validates that the implementation and monitoring of actions allow for the achievement of set objectives and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Analyzes and evaluates the impact of each visit and readjusts their plan accordingly and based on needs.
  • Seizes and creates opportunities in a culture of innovation and learning.
