Candidates should possess a foundational understanding of 4-axis robotics, or experience with similar mechanisms, and demonstrable experience utilizing 3D CAD tools such as Inventor, Solidworks, SolidEdge, or Catia. Furthermore, candidates are required to have knowledge of mechanical design calculations and a solid understanding of mechanics, or experience in mechatronics.
The role involves designing and developing robot hands and robotic systems, particularly focusing on the generalization and high-functionality of hands for intelligent robots. This includes conducting concept design for maximizing the capabilities of intelligent robots, developing prototypes of mechanisms including robot hands, creating design drawings for robot peripheral equipment, managing design documentation, and utilizing knowledge of strength analysis and structural design to enhance overall robot performance. The position also requires contributing to the development of innovative automation solutions and potentially managing mechanical design team members and collaborating with external partners.
