Requirements

Candidates should have 1-3 years of experience in accounts receivable, cash application, or a similar role. A strong understanding of cash application processes and best practices is required, along with familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and meticulous attention to detail in handling financial data are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Cash Application Specialist will be responsible for accurately applying customer payments to appropriate accounts and invoices, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring timely posting of cash receipts. This includes processing various payment forms like ACH, wires, credit cards, and cheques, contacting customers for payment remittance backup, and handling cash application and Accounts Receivable disputes. The role also involves processing credit cards and ACH debits, performing month-end checks and reconciliations, proactively communicating with clients about payment instructions, and taking responsibility for the timely closing of payment postings to meet month-end deadlines.
