Requirements
- Pharmacist License (secondary optional permit in Alberta: CA_APA - Additional Prescribing Authorization)
- Age: 16 or older
- Ability to operate all equipment in the pharmacy (register, computer system etc.)
- Ability to establish and develop a strong working relationship with Professional Services District Manager and other stakeholders
- Ability to locate merchandise on the sales floor
- Ability to ensure patient privacy at all times
- Ability to ensure prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely
- Ability to counsel patients on sold pharmaceutical products
- Ability to execute processes as per Walmart's best ways/SOPs
- Ability to protect and maintain patient privacy at all times
- Ability to ensure patients receive all eligible services they are entitled to
- Ability to ensure the pharmacy is open and operational during posted business hours
- Ability to assist in executing the business action plan to achieve corporate business goals
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently
Responsibilities
- Assist the Pharmacy Manager in all aspects of the Pharmacy Operations
- Provide patient care specific to each patient based on feedback received during patient consultation or file review
- Ensure prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely
- Counsel patients on sold pharmaceutical products
- Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products
- Execute processes as per Walmart's best ways/SOPs
- Protect and maintain patient privacy at all times
- Ensure patients receive all eligible services they are entitled to
- Ensure the pharmacy is open and operational during posted business hours
- Assist in executing the business action plan to achieve corporate business goals
- Partner with the Pharmacy Manager to assist in business goals
- Perform tasks as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve business goals
