Requirements

  • Pharmacist License (secondary optional permit in Alberta: CA_APA - Additional Prescribing Authorization)
  • Age: 16 or older
  • Ability to operate all equipment in the pharmacy (register, computer system etc.)
  • Ability to establish and develop a strong working relationship with Professional Services District Manager and other stakeholders
  • Ability to locate merchandise on the sales floor
  • Ability to ensure patient privacy at all times
  • Ability to ensure prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely
  • Ability to counsel patients on sold pharmaceutical products
  • Ability to execute processes as per Walmart's best ways/SOPs
  • Ability to protect and maintain patient privacy at all times
  • Ability to ensure patients receive all eligible services they are entitled to
  • Ability to ensure the pharmacy is open and operational during posted business hours
  • Ability to assist in executing the business action plan to achieve corporate business goals
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Pharmacy Manager in all aspects of the Pharmacy Operations
  • Provide patient care specific to each patient based on feedback received during patient consultation or file review
  • Ensure prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely
  • Counsel patients on sold pharmaceutical products
  • Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products
  • Execute processes as per Walmart's best ways/SOPs
  • Protect and maintain patient privacy at all times
  • Ensure patients receive all eligible services they are entitled to
  • Ensure the pharmacy is open and operational during posted business hours
  • Assist in executing the business action plan to achieve corporate business goals
  • Partner with the Pharmacy Manager to assist in business goals
  • Perform tasks as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve business goals
