Responsibilities
- Zones the department
- Rotates stock and checks for expired products
- Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced
- Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates
- Adheres to food safety and handling procedures and follows sanitation and cleaning procedures
- Follows proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels
- Ensures that department is fully stocked with merchandise and is ready for business
- Follows Health and Safety guidelines
- Stocks merchandise/picks, downstocks if applicable. Applies product protection when required. Sets and completes modulars, including flex modulars and sets new shelf cap
