Responsibilities
- Ensuring high-quality products are fresh, ready, and available in the café
- Ensuring shelves are clean, maintaining temperature control, verifying expiration dates, and disposing of lesser-quality food products
- Packing ready-to-sell products in proper containers and stock displays
- Preparing and serving ready-to-eat food
- Maintaining a clean, sanitized, and member-ready area
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared food merchandise; collaborating with cross-functional teams and helping educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicating effectively with team members; being flexible to business needs to work in other areas
- Prepare food according to item specifications; understand and plan future and mass productions; prepare for seasonality; adhere to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management; operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment; demonstrate understanding of product and layout execution
- Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; utilize handheld technology for business decisions on production, ordering, receiving club pick-up orders, training, and product quality; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them
- Drive area performance; stock and rotate merchandise; ensure quality and date control standards; eliminate waste; provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, payment types, locating merchandise, and resolving issues
- Be a brand advocate; develop, influence, and inspire others in a respectful, supportive, team-oriented style; understand roadblocks and assist in training
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; implement related action plans; use Open Door Policy; apply in business processes
- Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners
