Responsibilities
- Ensuring high-quality products are fresh, ready, and available in the café
- Ensuring shelves are clean, maintaining temperature control, verifying expiration dates, and disposing of lesser-quality food products
- Packing ready-to-sell products in proper containers and stock displays
- Preparing and serving ready-to-eat food
- Maintaining a clean, sanitized, and member-ready area
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared food merchandise
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources
- Communicate effectively with team members and be flexible to business needs
- Prepare food according to item specifications, plan future and mass productions, prepare for seasonality
- Adhere to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management
- Operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment; demonstrate understanding of product and layout execution
- Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement
- Use handheld technology for production, ordering, receiving orders, training, and product quality decisions
- Drive area performance by stocking and rotating merchandise, ensuring quality and date control, eliminating waste
- Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, assisting with purchases, payments, locating merchandise, and resolving issues
- Act as a brand advocate, develop and inspire others in a respectful, supportive, team-oriented style; assist in training
- Comply with company policies, procedures, standards of ethics and integrity
- Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and others
