Responsibilities
- Ensure high-quality products are fresh, ready, and available in the café
- Ensure shelves are clean, maintain temperature control, verify expiration dates, and dispose of lesser-quality food products
- Pack ready-to-sell products in proper containers and stock displays
- Prepare and serve ready-to-eat food
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and member-ready area
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared food merchandise
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources
- Communicate effectively with team members and be flexible to business needs
- Prepare food according to item specifications, plan future and mass productions, prepare for seasonality
- Adhere to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management
- Operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment; demonstrate understanding of product and layout execution
- Leverage digital tools for sales, shopping experience, associate engagement, production decisions, ordering, receiving orders, training, and product quality
- Drive area performance by stocking and rotating merchandise, ensuring quality and date control, eliminating waste
- Provide member service: acknowledge members, identify needs, assist with purchasing decisions, payment types, locating merchandise, resolve issues
- Act as a brand advocate, develop/influence/inspire others in a respectful, supportive, team-oriented style; assist in training and address roadblocks
- Comply with company policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity standards
- Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, resources, and collaboration
