Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a pharmacy team by acting as a role model, promoting best practices, onboarding new hires (Technicians and Pharmacists), providing training on CVS workflow, and ensuring timely completion of required training/licensure
  • Oversee the pharmacy team during bench shifts, including quarterbacking the team, strengthening performance measures through coaching and follow-up
  • Manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, meaningful counseling, and immunizing practices; proactively offer and deliver immunizations
  • Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing the team to follow pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails
  • Contribute to positive patient experiences by demonstrating empathy, genuine care, collaborating with healthcare teams, and proactively resolving insurance/medication issues; coach the team to do the same
  • Manage pharmacy inventory by following and coaching the team on best practices, with focus on protecting cold chain products
  • Ensure pharmacy operations are fully compliant with state Board of Pharmacy regulations at all times; escalate issues or concerns to the Rx District Manager
  • Support novel program awareness and recognize colleagues for success
