Requirements
- Act as a role model demonstrating genuine care and setting standards for the pharmacy team
- Lead and develop a pharmacy team providing exceptional patient care
- Promote best practices and lead through change while identifying and addressing performance opportunities
- Support novel program awareness and onboard newly hired pharmacy team members
- Recognize colleagues for their success
- Exhibit best practices when working the bench, including quarterbacking the team, providing meaningful counseling, and abiding by legal and regulatory guidelines
- Oversee pharmacy team during bench shifts with effective coaching and follow-up
- Follow and direct pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails
- Demonstrate empathy, genuine care, and compassionate care; collaborate with healthcare teams and resolve insurance/medication issues
- Proactively offer and deliver immunizations; support Pharmacy Technicians in learning to immunize
- Manage pharmacy inventory following best practices, especially protecting cold chain products
- Conduct onboarding and training for new Technicians and Pharmacists on CVS workflow, ensuring timely completion of training/licensure
- Ensure full compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations; escalate issues as needed
- Partner with Store Manager to maintain talent pipeline of cross-trained colleagues and ensure their training completion
- Oversee Staff Pharmacists and District Support Pharmacists (where applicable), manage performance through observation, feedback, validation, annual reviews, and gap closure
