Requirements

  • Four to six months Retail Distribution Center or Warehouse Environment experience preferred
  • Able to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 80 pounds
  • Adequate fitness level for frequent lifting, walking, standing, moderate climbing of stairs, occasional sitting, stooping, and kneeling (with or without reasonable accommodation)
  • Able to operate P.I.T. equipment
  • Able to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) per Distribution Center requirements
  • Willing to perform shift work (second shift), overtime, weekends, and/or holidays
  • Effective communication skills with co-workers and management
  • Ability to organize and structure own time effectively, work systematically, and plan ahead
  • Necessary hand and motor skills to perform essential work activities
  • Problem-solving skills to identify problems, isolate areas, and find solutions
  • Commitment to achieving and maintaining high quality standards
  • Reliability, consistency, dependability, and adherence to supervisors’ instructions and company policies

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the correct batch is selected by signing out store orders and verifying batch numbers with the Sign Out Clerk or through voice picking on headset, if applicable
  • Focus on labels to select merchandise from the correct location to provide stores with the correct ordered items
  • Ensure labels are placed properly on merchandise for proper scanning
  • Achieve set engineered or productivity standards on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
  • Communicate shorts, damages, jams, and anticipated shorts to the Sign Out Clerk to deliver merchandise to Shipping in a timely manner
  • Handle damaged merchandise through proper procedures
  • Complete daily P.I.T. checklist to ensure equipment works properly and report defects to management and/or maintenance
  • Operate P.I.T. equipment in a safe manner
  • Follow set safety procedures and guidelines to maximize personal safety
  • Maintain an organized work area and promote a safe working environment within the Bulk department
  • Follow all Company policies and procedures
  • All other duties as assigned
