Requirements

  • FAA Certified Flight Instructor Rating
  • Must be at least 21 years old at the time of application
  • Currently serving as a flight instructor with Breeze partner school/university (ATP Flight Schools, Southern Utah University, Epic Flight Academy, Utah Valley University)
  • Must remain serving as a flight instructor with a Breeze partner school/university until completing hours and attending Breeze Initial training
  • High school diploma or equivalent educational achievement
  • FAA Commercial certificate with airplane multi-engine class rating
  • Must have 500 hours total time in fixed-wing aircraft
  • Must be more than 400 hours away from meeting ATP/R-ATP minimums
  • Knowledge, skills, and ability to quickly transition to the part 121-operating environment

Responsibilities

  • While instructing with a partner school, receive mentorship from current Breeze Pilots
  • Provide the Pilot Recruitment team with updated flight hours every 30-45 days
  • Continued learning and development in line with Breeze Flight Operations policies and procedures
  • Commitment to helping spread the Breeze brand and core values: Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity, and Excellence
  • Complete all pre-hire assessments and intermittent training to prepare for success during initial Breeze training
  • Successfully complete ATP-CTP training through Breeze’s training partner
  • Provide feedback on personal development process and suggest program enhancements
  • Assess risk and use proper resources to keep risk to an acceptable level during all phases of ground and flight operations
  • Employ the CRM concept of “Assertiveness with Respect”
  • Maintain a high degree of proficiency and thorough knowledge of flight operations, procedures, and systems applicable to the aircraft flown
  • Develop technically and professionally in preparation for transition to Breeze
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Company
