Candidates should possess bookkeeping experience, preferably with credit card transaction management, proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks Online and Desktop, Xero, strong attention to detail and organizational skills, excellent problem-solving and reconciliation abilities, and knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
The Bookkeeper will monitor and record credit card transactions, ensuring they are properly categorized; reconcile credit card statements with accounting records to identify and resolve discrepancies; manage credit card payment schedules to avoid late fees and maintain company credit health; maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable; record daily transactions in accounting software; assist in preparing financial statements; track and validate employee credit card usage, ensuring adherence to company policies; organize and maintain receipts and documentation for all credit card expenses; analyze spending patterns to provide insights for cost-saving opportunities; generate reports detailing credit card expenses and transactions for management review; ensure compliance with company financial policies and accounting regulations; assist with month-end and year-end closing processes; and support audits by providing detailed credit card transaction records and reconciliations.
