Requirements

Juniors, seniors, or recent graduates (within one year of graduation)
Reporting and/or writing experience at school newspapers or elsewhere (a plus, but primarily an editing internship)
Experience editing arts or arts-related copy for college newspaper, literary magazine, or comparable publication
Preference for concentration in literature, history, foreign language, classics, pre-law, music, theater, art history, studio art, architecture, philosophy, political science, or archaeology (via coursework or sustained leisure-time activity)
Appreciation for both Western and non-Western canons
Understanding of current issues in the arts
Demonstrated ability to multitask and meet daily deadlines
Attention to detail and focus on accuracy
Familiarity with technology as it relates to journalism
Social media experience with a publication or brand (a plus)
Familiarity with the WSJ Books section’s content (especially attractive)
U.S. citizen, or holder of green card or visa allowing work in the United States
Submission of complete application by Nov. 30, 2025: cover letter, résumé, links or full text of three best clips, and ≤800-word response to prompt (case for a book in history, fiction, or nonfiction)
