Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record
  • Forklift certification
  • Computer skills: Spreadsheet Software (Excel)
  • Ability to stand continually, walk continually, occasionally sit, climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl, and work in high, precarious places
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Observes production or monitors equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment, while adhering to the principles of First In First Out (FIFO) and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)
  • Fills in for the Compound Machine Operator during their absence, including performing machine start-up/shutdown, quality checks, and become familiar with material changeovers
  • Weighs, measures, and loads ingredients and checks mixture for specified consistency
  • Adds or mixes chemicals or ingredients for processing
  • Assists the Compound Machine Operator in the start-up and shutdown of operations as needed
  • Collects samples of materials or products for laboratory testing
  • Conducts tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance
  • Setting up, operating, or tending machines to mix or blend materials, such as chemicals or color pigments
  • Producing and supplying quality compound materials for the Injection Molding department
