Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree or equivalent experience in biosciences
  • Proven experience in the protein manufacturing field (≥1 year)
  • Basic proficiency in English
  • Digital literacy, including MS Office
  • Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
  • Able to work in cleanroom (no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc.)
  • Able to work in cold room/freezers (-22°F/-6°C)
  • Able to work in environments with loud noises (equipment/machinery)
  • Able to wear some degree of PPE (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)
  • Able to work with strong odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products etc.)
  • Able to work with hazardous/toxic materials

Responsibilities

  • Independently manufacture products following up-to-date documentation, including culture media preparation from biomass, protein purification, and protein chemical modification
  • Perform material and product accounting
  • Ensure timely and accurate protocol documentation, reagent, and material ordering
  • Maintain clear communication with quality assurance, manufacturing, and client service specialists to improve product manufacturing and improvement
  • Initiate and participate in process and technology improvement and related documentation updates
