Responsibilities

  • Perform timely routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities on dialysis equipment, water treatment systems, and water room aesthetics per manufacturer recommendations, company policies, and procedures
  • Coordinate and complete scheduled and unscheduled routine repair and maintenance of physical plant with company-approved vendors
  • Participate in preventive maintenance of ancillary devices per manufacturer recommendations, company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Purchase and maintain inventory of service parts using approved sources; ensure RGA and warranty parts are returned timely
  • Perform water/dialysate sample collection, processing, evaluation, and reporting per policies and procedures
  • Document all daily, weekly, monthly repair and maintenance activities per policies/procedures
  • Update project tracking or company tracking/documentation systems as assigned
  • Participate in monthly Technical CQI/QAI process, including analysis, data assembly, technical discussions, reporting outcomes, and implementing supervisor-approved improvement plans
  • Collaborate with facility staff to ensure regulatory and OSHA requirements are met
  • Review water system documentation to verify compliance (e.g., readings within parameters)
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly trend analysis on water systems, anticipating actions to ensure proper function
  • Identify and escalate instances where company policies/procedures are not met to next-level management
  • Participate in managing Medical Supply Inventory: manage par values, ensure correct inventory for patient treatments, perform physical counts, and generate reports
  • Support clinical education by administering return demonstrations during Annual Water Training
  • Monitor and review patient care staff’s technique for testing water systems, ensuring compliance with policies, manufacturer specifications, and test equipment
