Work under close supervision with detailed instruction until completion of task-specific training and demonstration of competency
Obtain and maintain water treatment equipment qualification by completing Annual Water Training

Responsibilities

Perform timely routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities on dialysis equipment, water treatment systems, and water room aesthetics per manufacturer recommendations, company policies, and procedures
Coordinate and complete scheduled and unscheduled routine repair and maintenance of physical plant with company-approved vendors
Participate in preventive maintenance of ancillary devices per manufacturer recommendations, company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
Purchase and maintain inventory of service parts using approved sources; ensure RGA and warranty parts are returned timely
Perform water/dialysate sample collection, processing, evaluation, and reporting per policies and procedures
Document all daily, weekly, monthly repair and maintenance activities per policies/procedures
Update project tracking or company tracking/documentation systems as assigned
Participate in monthly Technical CQI/QAI process, including analysis, data assembly, technical discussions, reporting outcomes, and implementing supervisor-approved improvement plans
Collaborate with facility staff to ensure regulatory and OSHA requirements are met
Review water system documentation to verify compliance (e.g., readings within parameters)
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly trend analysis on water systems, anticipating actions to ensure proper function
Identify and escalate instances where company policies/procedures are not met to next-level management
Participate in managing Medical Supply Inventory: manage par values, ensure correct inventory for patient treatments, perform physical counts, and generate reports
Support clinical education by administering return demonstrations during Annual Water Training
Monitor and review patient care staff’s technique for testing water systems, ensuring compliance with policies, manufacturer specifications, and test equipment
