Requirements

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; OR equivalent military education to an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree; OR participant in the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship, Apprenticeship or Military Externship program; OR High School Diploma/GED and a minimum 4 years of experience servicing electrical, electronics, IT or mechanical equipment
Minimum 2 years of experience servicing medical equipment
Knowledge of electronic digital circuitry and understanding of electronic and electro-mechanical devices
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship)
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted; frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit and stand for long periods; reach at, above and below shoulder level; flex/extend neck; good hand and finger dexterity
Willingness to work onsite in the Portsmouth, VA area

Responsibilities

Evaluate customer biomedical equipment issues, implement appropriate repairs, and perform planned maintenance and safety and environmental inspections
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and hospital protocols to ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met; ensure documentation of all work performed is captured
Maintain strong relationships and frequent communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up for ongoing customer satisfaction
Maintain proper care of tools and test equipment to ensure calibration and ability to deliver timely and accurate repairs and maintenance
Identify and report all customer quality or compliance concerns immediately to the Quality Organization
