Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience as a BIM or CAD specialist in architecture, engineering, exhibition manufacturing, or related industries
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks (or equivalent BIM software)
  • Experience integrating multidisciplinary models and supplier drawings into coordinated documentation
  • Familiarity with AV systems, lighting, scenography, or exhibition manufacturing drawings (highly valued)
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, shop drawings, and manufacturing details
  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to version control and file management
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team coordination skills
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish (spoken and written)
  • Key attributes: Attention to detail, strong visualization and spatial coordination skills, ability to thrive in dynamic environments with multiple suppliers, collaborative spirit, excellent communication, and proactivity in identifying issues before they impact manufacturing

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain BIM models and CAD documentation to support the integration of exhibitions and buildings
  • Import, clean, and integrate supplier-provided plans into project master models
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project BIM standards across all models
  • Generate coordinated plans, sections, and details for review by project managers, designers, and clients
  • Develop plan sets to support construction, fabrication, and installation phases
  • Collaborate with external suppliers, architects, engineers, and manufacturers to resolve drawing discrepancies
  • Identify and flag clashes in models (e.g., interferences between exhibition structures, AV systems, lighting, and base building elements)
  • Support coordination meetings by preparing model views, clash detection reports, and plan overlays
  • Work closely with AV, lighting, scenography, and fabrication leads to ensure supplier work aligns with design intent and infrastructure requirements
  • Maintain version control and records for all integrated documentation
  • Maintain and enforce project BIM and CAD standards across all documentation
  • Assist in developing templates, details, and documentation standards specific to museum projects
  • Provide technical support to project teams regarding drawings
  • Prepare documentation for final delivery, including "as-built" models and record drawings
