Requirements

  • High School education OR equivalent and two (2) years responsible employment
  • Experience in Human Services or related field preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree, OR MAADC I or II (for St. Louis County programs)
  • Successful completion of background check, including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint check
  • Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance
  • First Aid certification within three (3) months of beginning employment and upon renewal date
  • CPR certification within three (3) months of beginning employment and upon renewal date
  • Physical ability for sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently; repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms; sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and supportive care to clients, including general oversight of day-to-day activities, health monitoring, and crisis intervention
  • Facilitate group education and structured activities, and transport clients as needed
  • Monitor client behavior and provide safe, therapeutic, and supportive environments
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation and participate in required meetings and training sessions
