The Behavioral Health Strategy Lead is responsible for defining, implementing, and advancing the strategic vision for behavioral health initiatives within Humana's Illinois health plan, collaborating with senior leadership to shape policies and guide innovation. This role involves overseeing the integration of behavioral and physical health services, advising on complex behavioral health matters, and directing the development of multi-year strategies, including Medicaid innovation and 1115 Waiver integration. Key duties include analyzing trends, advising internal teams on innovative care delivery models, serving as the principal behavioral health representative for Humana Illinois, and overseeing program design and execution to improve access, quality, and coordination of services. The position also involves providing strategic leadership for Illinois' 1115 Medicaid Demonstration Waiver initiatives, exercising executive oversight of Mobile Crisis Response and vendor management, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory, contractual, and accreditation requirements. Additionally, the role champions cross-functional collaboration, guides associates, contributes to organizational principles, monitors behavioral health trends, leads performance measurement and quality improvement efforts, and facilitates strategic advisory councils and community forums.
