Behavioral Health Case Manager I (ARTS) – Southwest Virginia at Elevance Health

This role enables associates to work virtually full-time, with the exception of required in-person training sessions. However, the Case Manager may be required to meet with members in person as per contractual requirements or as requested by the member, and candidates must be within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location(s) in Southwest Virginia.

Requires MA/MS in social work, counseling, or a related behavioral health field or a degree in nursing, minimum of 3 years clinical experience in social work counseling with complex psychiatric and substance abuse treatment, and current active unrestricted license such as RN, LCSW, LMHC, LICSW, LPC, LMFT, LMSW, or Clinical Psychologist in Virginia.

Candidates must be domiciled in Virginia with independent licensure and within a reasonable commuting distance from Southwest Virginia locations. Candidates residing in Norton, Bristol, Blacksburg, Roanoke, Danville, and Christiansburg are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities include using screening criteria to assess member needs, conducting assessments and developing care plans, monitoring and modifying care plans, supporting access to quality care, and coordinating with internal and external resources for members with behavioral health and substance use disorder needs.

Preferred qualifications include experience in case management and telephonic and/or in-person coaching with members who have a broad range of complex psychiatric/substance abuse needs.
