Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or related field
  • Understanding of Global Corporate BCM/BCP Standard and ISO22301 (BCMS)
  • Knowledge of architectural planning and equipment design
  • Experience in promoting CSR activities
  • Experience in planning, introduction, and project management of factory infrastructure equipment
  • Stakeholder coordination and communication skills across internal and external parties
  • Planning and execution skills for collaboration with government and local communities or event participation
  • Japanese: Native level (required for high-level communication with government and external organizations)
  • English: Daily conversation to business level (focus on reading/writing for reports; TOEIC 600 as guideline; post-hire catch-up with US HQ meetings)

Responsibilities

  • Lead BCM/BCP and CSR activities at the Fujisawa site (HDD R&D base)
  • Organize BCP committee meetings, disseminate internally, and support BCP formulation/improvement across departments
  • Lead facility department's BCP plans, disaster prevention/mitigation to enhance site infrastructure resilience and business recovery post-disaster
  • Understand site/building architecture plans, social infrastructure, facilities/equipment; evaluate/improve from BCP perspective, plan facility maintenance/renovation works
  • Understand electricity, air conditioning, factory utilities etc. used by development/research/manufacturing; provide BCP-appropriate advice (backups, redundancy, cost estimation for improvements)
  • Handle site's CSR activities: build relationships with local governments (Kanagawa Prefecture, Fujisawa City etc.), related groups, NGOs, agents
  • Consider/join collaboration programs with local governments/related institutions (education, health centers, industrial parks, corporations) and local community; support site tours, on-site lectures at elementary/junior/senior high schools
  • Consider/conclude sponsor contracts
  • Lead collaboration with internal departments to promote social contribution via CSR programs
  • Promote company-wide CSR programs: internal rollout, member coordination/support, encourage participation
  • Serve as negotiation contact for information exchange/collaboration with agents and external groups
