Requirements

Ability to work multiple shift schedules and rotating shifts as required
Excellent communication skills
Ability to independently manage priorities and schedule to meet deadlines
Must be able to work in outdoor environment and occasionally in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees
Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment
Work includes high places more than 175 feet, use man lifts and work in confined spaces
Willing and able to maintain a strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment
Available to work evenings, weekends, and overnight to address unexpected site issues with or without notice
Able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and crawling and pulling for up to twelve (12) hours per day
Able to work around moving equipment and machinery
Able to pull and lift up to 50 lbs
Able to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards

Responsibilities

Follow all workplace and job safety procedures
Ensure vessel is loading correctly (load rate, gate control, fine mitigation)
Understand load plan and maintain to customer satisfaction
Keep accurate records of cargo handled, including weights, measurements and quantities
Operate heavy equipment on vessel - loaders, cranes, and ship loader
Perform equipment inspections and all rigging
Identify upset conditions or potential failure points
Basic mechanical troubleshooting, enter work orders and assist maintenance with repairs
Keep areas clean, neat and orderly to meet housekeeping standards
Communicate to Operations team, including ship crew
Other related duties as assigned and serve as a backup resource as needed
