Requirements

Candidates should have at least 3 years of professional development experience with TypeScript and Node.js. A strong understanding of RESTful API design principles is required, along with proficiency in PostgreSQL and ORMs, specifically Prisma. Experience with LLM APIs and their integration into backend systems is essential, as well as familiarity with prompt engineering concepts. Candidates should also have experience with Redis, containerized environments like Docker and Kubernetes, and monorepo structures using tools such as Yarn, Nx, and Turbo. Familiarity with cloud services, preferably AWS, is expected, along with excellent problem-solving skills and strong communication abilities in an asynchronous environment. Experience with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Backend TypeScript Engineer will design, implement, and optimize RESTful APIs using TypeScript and Node.js. They will develop and maintain core business logic and data models while optimizing database queries to improve overall system performance. Collaboration with frontend teams to ensure seamless integration is required, as well as participation in code reviews and contributions to the monorepo structure. The engineer will integrate LLM-powered features to enhance user experiences, implement robust error handling and logging mechanisms, and assist in the evolution of the backend architecture to meet scaling demands. Writing clean, documented, and well-tested code is essential, along with staying updated with the latest backend technologies and best practices.
