Candidates need a BS in Computer Science (or equivalent) with solid fundamentals, 2+ years of backend development experience, backend generalist experience across stacks, and experience using observability tools.
The APM team works on fast-paced MVPs, collaborates closely with product, frontend, and other backend teams, and focuses on backend features across multiple product domains like APM, metric explorer, alerting, and infrastructure monitoring.
Ideal candidates have experience driving projects through ambiguities, shaping products with user feedback, optimizing queries or data pipelines at scale, and developing query/storage engines for metrics and tracing products.
