Requirements

  • Knowledge of at least one programming language in depth
  • At least 3-5+ years of experience building and shipping highly-available, fault-tolerant, production-ready distributed backend systems
  • Experience with JVM-based languages (Java, Kotlin, Scala) and confidence in building, debugging, and shipping microservices
  • Customer-focused with the ability to suggest improvements to backend systems for the best Customer Experience
  • Pride in consistent high levels of test coverage, strong technical documentation, and effective monitoring

Responsibilities

  • Part of the Brokerage - Fraud team, enhancing blockchain.com’s fraud prevention mechanisms
  • Work with risk, compliance teams and partners (SardineAI and Sift) to resolve customer issues
  • Advocate best practices, code quality, test coverage, and drive technical discussions
  • Optimize existing systems for scalability, extensibility, and performance, building reusable, modular code
  • Ensure security is at the forefront, employing advanced encryption schemes
  • Work within interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality software
