Requirements

  • Two or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Multi-axis CNC machining experience
  • Ability to program CNC machines with Fanuc, Siemens or other controllers
  • Strong working knowledge of machining principles
  • Basic knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control)
  • Blueprint reading skills
  • Understanding of geometric tolerances
  • Ability to interpret CMM reports and quality data
  • Work experience in a lean manufacturing environment
  • Strong background with experience in boring, milling, drilling, and reaming
  • Knowledge of CNC programs and ability to make offset adjustments
  • Must pass CNC skills assessment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, medium to heavy duty assembly, technical environment
  • Physical ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, twist, turn, climb, and stand on concrete for 8+ hours
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds and perform frequent repetitive hand movements with tooling
  • Ability to perform tasks on a moving conveyor under time constraints (for some positions)
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, work on platforms, and at heights (for some positions)
  • Ability to work in confined spaces (for some positions)
  • Ability to wear a respirator (for some positions)
  • Ability to lift and manipulate engine components
  • Required to stay in section for 12 months except for promotion or nights to days move

Responsibilities

  • Production, quality, housekeeping, and other related duties associated with operation and setup of CNC and NC controlled machines
  • Transport material
  • Audit processes
  • Operate wash tanks
  • Operate some manual operations
  • Interpret CNC programs, Job Instruction Sheet, CMM data, Gageit (gage tracking), and monitor Infinity
  • Troubleshoot and solve problems with machine, tooling, program malfunctions, and everyday issues
  • Work overtime as required to support manufacturing needs
  • Manage time and work well in a team environment
