Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or an equivalent degree, and demonstrate proficiency in Beckhoff PLC programming using Structured Text, Python programming, and object-oriented programming concepts. Familiarity with Git software version control, SQL RDB, robot programming, stepper and servo motor motion control and tuning, and Linux command line tools is required.
As an Automation Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing automated solutions, choosing parts, and programming robotic systems, communicating effectively with project stakeholders, reading and contributing to electrical schematics, participating in design reviews, programming robot paths and motion systems, analyzing customer needs and incorporating them into system requirements, programming Beckhoff PLCs, developing real-time and non-real-time code, and traveling up to 30% to customer sites.
