Minimum qualification: Qualified secondary school leaving certificate (Hauptschulabschluss)
Detail-oriented and creative
Good manual dexterity, patience, and a sense of touch

Responsibilities

Manufacturing of glass equipment and glass apparatuses (single and series production)
Development of new glass apparatuses according to customer requirements
Repair of defective glass devices
Measurement and adjustment of finished products, including voltage measurement and scaling attachment
Connection of pre-fabricated elements through reheating and fusing, as well as inserting metal, ceramic, or plastic parts
Drilling of holes in cold processing and grinding, polishing, coating, or silvering of glass surfaces
Shaping of raw blanks through rotating, bending, pulling, narrowing, expanding, and blowing
Heating of raw blanks in hot processing with burners or blowers
Cutting of glass tubes or glass rods to size
Selection of glass types according to the requirements of the final product
Planning of workflows and provision of processing tools
Use of manufacturing documents and technical drawings
