We are seeking an experienced Atlassian Platform Engineer to administer, customize, and enhance Atlassian tools (Jira, Jira Service Management (JSM), Confluence, Trello, and Bitbucket) for our Healthcare client. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations, improve processes, and ensure efficient ticket management. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with in-depth knowledge of the Atlassian suite and a passion for continuous improvement. Flexibility is valued as this is a fully remote opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Administration: Configure, maintain, and optimize Atlassian tools (Jira, JSM, Confluence, Trello, and Bitbucket) to meet evolving organizational needs.
• Process Improvement: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify inefficiencies and implement enhancements to streamline workflows, processes, and reporting.
• Customization & Automation: Design, develop, and implement Jira workflows, screens, fields, permissions, and automation rules to support team-specific requirements.
• Ticket Management & Operations: Ensure smooth operation of ticketing systems, monitor issue resolution timelines, and enhance support process efficiency.
• Integration & Collaboration: Integrate Atlassian tools with other platforms and third-party applications to improve team collaboration and data flow.
• Security & Compliance: Enforce security measures and compliance standards (HIPAA) across the platform.
• Support & Troubleshooting: Act as the primary point of contact for all Atlassian-related issues, providing troubleshooting support and resolving escalated problems.
• Training & Documentation: Conduct user training on new processes, tools, and best practices. Maintain documentation on system configurations and operational procedures.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance and usage, identifying opportunities for system optimizations and improvements.
• Upgrades & Maintenance: Plan and execute platform upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity during migrations and maintenance windows.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in Atlassian tool administration (Jira, JSM, Confluence, Trello, Bitbucket), including customization and workflow optimization.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Jira workflows, custom fields, permissions, reporting dashboards, automation, and integrations with Confluence, Bitbucket, and other tools.
• Scripting Skills: Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, JavaScript) and knowledge of JQL (Jira Query Language) for Jira automation and customization.
• Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to analyze existing processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions.
• Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills, able to work across teams and communicate technical details to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and practices.
• Certifications: Atlassian certifications (e.g., ACP-100 Jira Administrator, ACP-600 Jira Project Administrator) are a plus.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
