Requirements

  • Studying for a degree in STEM field (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering a plus)
  • Basic knowledge in GLP and lab safety
  • Basic knowledge in chemical synthesis
  • Basic knowledge of the principles of green chemistry
  • Entry level position; hands-on synthesis experience in academia or industry is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, with strong capability for presentation creation
  • Proficiency in project management software
  • Verbal and written fluency in English

Responsibilities

  • Work within a team to support new product development, testing, and stability
  • Conduct bench scale experiments (500g scale) necessary to develop new materials following good laboratory practices and adhering to proper safety procedures
  • Communicate project updates to innovation manager and team, bringing proactive thinking about product development
  • Support identifying and characterizing inorganic and organic compounds to determine composition, utilizing wet chemical analysis and other analytical techniques
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of experimental details in corporate notebooks
