Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in lab sciences such as biology, biochemistry, immunology, chemistry, molecular biology or similar
  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 1+ years) or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Able to pass a comprehensive background check, including drug screening
  • Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
  • Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards
  • Manual dexterity (pipetting, operate lab equipment, etc.)
  • Experience performing immunoassays, ELISA or similar testing
  • Communicate effectively and follow detailed written and verbal instructions
  • Cooperate with coworkers within an organized team environment or work alone with supervision
  • Manage time effectively to complete assignments in expected time frame
  • Support testing and analysis in the immunochemistry and vaccine department (run assays, prepare samples, lab documentation)

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of complex sample preparation and analysis procedures using automated laboratory robotics (GYROS, Hamilton, TECAN, etc.)
  • Works with multiple functional groups to meet business needs
  • Plans and coordinates work with periodic supervision
  • Sets up and maintains analytical instrumentation
  • Trains on routine operation, maintenance of lab equipment
  • Ensures QA findings are addressed appropriately
  • Provides assistance and training to other team members
  • Performs work assignments accurately, and in a timely and safe manner
  • Reviews, interprets, and analyzes data for technical, quality and compliance to protocols, methods, SOPs, client criteria and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
