  • High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
  • No experience required
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to maintain detailed tracking and documentation clearly and accurately according to SOP
  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
  • Compliance with cleanroom conditions: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc
  • Ability to stand for full shift in fluctuating temperatures (hot/cold) in a laboratory setting

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of simple inventory tracking procedures (receipt, check-in, login, labeling, inventory, transport, check-out, etc.) and administrative tasks in support of laboratory operations
  • Communicate status of tasks to supervisor and/or appropriate laboratory staff
  • Train on SOPs, regulatory guidelines, and storage requirements
  • Support response to environmental unit alarms and may participate in on-call responsibilities
  • Perform daily work assignments accurately, timely and in a safe manner
  • Complete receipt of shipments and begin storage processes with samples on dry ice and in -70-degree Centigrade freezer units (specific to second shift)
  • Follow SOPs, applicable client procedures, and fulfill laboratory requests with modest direct supervision
  • Provide support to Sample Coordinator and perform administrative tasks in the Sample Management department
