Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or accounting and have at least 4 years of experience in fixed income pricing, valuation control, preparing investment valuations, or financial statement audit. Experience with private credit, asset-based finance, and securitization is required, along with the ability to validate inputs and assumptions across structured credit. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of market data services like Bloomberg, experience with third-party pricing providers, and a completed or in-progress CFA designation. Strong computer skills in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, meticulous attention to detail, thorough documentation and analytical skills, clear communication, and strong interpersonal skills are also essential.

Responsibilities

The Associate, Investment Valuation will coordinate and oversee the valuation of private investments by partnering with third-party providers and reviewing/auditing valuation model inputs and assumptions. Responsibilities include communicating with valuation specialists, providing feedback on their reports, and collaborating with internal teams such as Deal Team, Portfolio Monitoring, Operations, Sector Analytics, and Investment Accounting. The role involves preparing Valuation Committee materials, compiling data, researching price movements, reconciling data across systems, identifying and resolving process breakdowns, and preparing workpapers in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley. The Associate will also act as a point of contact for external auditors, stay updated on valuation best practices and ASC 820 compliance, and perform ad hoc analysis and special projects.
