Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD & Production Simulation (a plus)
  • Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma principles (a plus)
  • Up to 2 years of professional experience
  • Production experience, particularly printing (preferred but not required)
  • Organizational and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets to determine best course of action
  • Ability to manage multiple processes and product lines
  • Ability to balance the needs of multiple locations to achieve best results for the overall Commercial Forms network
  • Comfortable and available to work hybrid in San Antonio, TX office (3 days/week: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays)

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes analytical approaches and fact-based information in developing innovation, strategy, and continuous improvements that integrate human, system, material, energy, information, and technology resources
  • Develops solutions that are balanced between operational, financial, customer service, employee, and customer considerations
  • Participates in Engineering or other company projects
  • Interacts with plant & corporate management (25%)
  • Utilizes productivity reporting summaries aimed at controlling and improving labor costs and machine efficiency & utilization
  • Assists in preparing project proposals & other capital justifications
  • Participates on special projects as requested by VP of Engineering, Director Engineering, Manager, or other senior company officers (25%)
  • Utilizes machine specifications, material specifications, and budgeted accounts to develop systematic product costs for various products (20%)
  • Utilizes an engineered work measurement standards database for direct & indirect labor processes to calculate labor requirements in production facilities (20%)
  • Revises cost systems as necessary due to equipment changes, job method improvements, new budgeting, etc. (20%)
  • Analyzes and reviews processes to identify opportunities for innovation, continuous improvement, & cost reductions (20%)
  • Possesses and applies knowledge of Engineering field; participates on Engineering & Company project teams; applies knowledge of Company engineering & technology principles (5%)
  • Designs and upgrades facility layouts as needed (10%)
