Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent degree with strong record of academic achievement
  • 2-4 years of experience in Business Strategy, Private Fundraising, Investor Relations, Investment Consulting, Private Equity or Portfolio Management
  • Strong writing, PowerPoint, Excel, problem-solving, and quantitative skills
  • Ability to deliver with a sense of urgency, responding to tight deadlines and multiple demands
  • Ability to use data and clearly articulate ideas to internal and external audiences
  • Ability to work effectively at all levels of an organization and build strong relationships with team members, managers, and senior executives in multiple locations
  • Ability to manage complex, interdepartmental projects in a professional, inclusive, deadline-driven fashion
  • Highly effective process and project management skills: coordination, execution, follow-up and attention to detail
  • Knowledge and understanding of private capital markets, infrastructure investing, or private equity is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Providing analytical and creative support in designing the Capital Formation strategy and implementing/executing strategic priorities across the platform; including working with Client Coverage, Product Strategy and Client Services teams
  • Driving weekly and monthly reporting efforts on fundraising updates across products and overall platform to the GIP Office of the Chairman for use across strategic initiatives and the determination of client priorities
  • Partnering with teams across the platform and the firm to create executive-level presentations for use with internal audiences including GIP Partner updates, BlackRock Global Executive Committee, and other client business forums
  • Contributing to the development of GIP’s new fund targets (including the establishment of budgets by fund, region, and client segments) via connecting with investment teams across the platform, and generating analysis that influences business development decisions
  • Working cross-functionally to deliver key strategic priorities with an emphasis on project management and strategic thinking in partnership with project leads and working teams; including working on numerous strategic projects
  • Ensuring proper connectivity across capital formation, business functions and BlackRock Client Business, by representing GIP Capital Formation COO office priorities
